It was another successful double-header away trip for the Sky Tower Auckland Huskies last weekend.

On Friday we travelled down to Nelson where Zach Riley scored an NBL career best 25 points in our 104-96 against the Giants.

Justin Bibbs was also massive with 31 points, Tom Vodanovich scored 20 and Chris Johnson secured 15 boards to go with 13 points.

Chris produced a huge double-double of 25 points an 20 rebounds as we completed a successful road trip with a 75-66 win against Manawatu Jets on Sunday. Tommie V scored 20 points and Justin 14 as we recorded a fifth straight win and improved our record to 10 wins and 6 losses.

Thanks to our supporters who have made the trips south over the past couple of weeks – the team appreciates the encouragement.

The only disappointment at the weekend was that our flight out of Palmerston North on Sunday night was cancelled meaning some of our players and staff missed work commitments on Monday morning.

The pair of wins has propelled the Huskies into the top four on the NBL ladder but that semi-final spot is not secure without at least one win from our final two regular season games.

Both are at Eventfinda Stadium and we need your support:

Sunday July 11, 5.00pm v Taranaki Mountainairs

Saturday July 17, 7.30pm v Wellington Saints
