After the announcement of two big names to the Auckland Huskies Coaching staff in 2021, the focus now shift to rounding out the club’s on-court staff with applications open for 2021 Auckland Huskies Assistant Coaches.

Last week Dillon Boucher was announced as the new Huskies Director of Basketball, while Aaron Young was appointed Head Coach for the 2021 season.

Boucher is clear that finding the right Assistant Coaches will be crucial to the team’s overall success in 2021.

“We are looking for an assistant coach that can complement Aaron and share the same vision we are creating at the Huskies. They have to have a great work ethic and want to help the team be the best they can,” said Boucher.

An early focus for Young in his maiden Sal’s NBL Head Coaching role will be establishing a strong culture.

“The assistant coaching role is an important position when trying to establish a relatively new franchise. As a head coach, I’m looking for someone who is hungry to learn every day and someone that can help the team in a multitude of ways. It’s an important position to help lead our team culture while assisting in the development of our athletes.”
